அன்னபூர்ணா ஹோட்டல் நிர்வாகம் வெளியிட்ட அறிக்கையில்:

கோவையில், மத்திய நிதியமைச்சர் நிர்மலா சீதாராமன் பங்கேற்று, சிறு, குறு மற்றும் நடுத்தர தொழில் அமைப்புகளின் பிரதிநிதிகளுடன் நடத்திய கலந்துரையாடல் நிகழ்ச்சியில், எங்களது நிர்வாக இயக்குனர் சீனிவாசன் பங்கேற்று ஓட்டல், பேக்கரி தொழிலுக்கு உள்ள ஜி.எஸ்.டி., வரி குறித்து பேசினார். அவரது பேச்சு மறுநாள் வைரலாக பரவியது.

தனது உரையை தவறாக புரிந்து கொள்ளவோ, தவறான தோற்றத்தை ஏற்படுத்தி விடக்கூடாது என்பதற்காகவும், மத்திய நிதியமைச்சரை, தனிப்பட்ட முறையில் சீனிவாசன் சந்தித்து விளக்கம் அளித்தார். தனிப்பட்ட இச்சந்திப்பின்போது எடுக்கப்பட்ட வீடியோ, கவனக்குறைவாக, சமூக வலைதளங்களில் பரவியதால், தவறான புரிதல்களையும், குழப்பத்தையும் ஏற்படுத்தியுள்ளது. 

இந்த வீடியோ வெளியானதற்கு தமிழக பா.ஜ., மன்னிப்பு கோரியுள்ளது; இந்த வீடியோவை எடுத்த நபர் மீதும் நடவடிக்கை எடுக்கப்படும் என தெரிவித்துள்ளது.

தொழில்துறையினர் மற்றும் வர்த்தகர்களின் கருத்துக்களை அறிய நிகழ்ச்சி ஏற்பாடு செய்த மத்திய நிதியமைச்சருக்கு நன்றி தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறோம். இவ்விவகாரத்தில் தேவையற்ற யூகங்கள், தவறான அரசியல் புரிதல்களுக்கு முற்றுப்புள்ளி வைக்க விரும்புகிறோம். 

இதை அனைத்து தரப்பினரும் புரிந்துகொண்டு இவ்விவகாரத்தை தொடராமல் இத்துடன் முடித்துக் கொள்வார்கள் என நம்புகிறோம்.இவ்வாறு, அதில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.

During an interaction of representatives from MSMEs and Chamber of Commerce in Coimbatore with Honourable Minister of Finance and Minister of Corporate Affairs Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday, 11th Sep 2024. our Managing Director, Mr.D.Srinivasan, Honourary President of Tamilnadu Hotel Association & Vice-President of South Indian Hotels and Restaurants Association had raised the issue of different GST rates for different products in restaurants and bakeries. 

The following day, since the video of the interaction with Finance Minister had gone viral, he met the Finance Minister privately under his own volition to ensure there is no misunderstanding or misrepresentation of facts. The video of this private interaction was inadvertently shared in social media which has caused a lot of misunderstanding and confusion. 

On social media platform X, @BJP4Tamil Nadu has apologised for the mistakenly sharing the video and consequently action has been taken against the maker of the video. 

We would like to thank our Honourable Minister of Finance and MLA Ms.Vanathi Srinivasan for organising the GST meeting for the trade bodies and organisations to present their views. 

With this we would like put to rest the unnecessary assumptions and political misunderstanding. We hope everybody understands that we would like to end this episode and move on.
